Inspired by the writing of George Orwell, Dowdeswell chose to create a visual interpretation of the author's masterpiece 1984. The artist works around the major themes of the book from the Thought Police to Big Brother and aims to help raise awareness of the UK's literary heritage and the vitality of books to young and old, rich and poor.
